waiting for me
By Taunting The Reaper
there's something waiting for me
scribbled in stardust
amongst the cold, unsettling feelings of night
dank, harsh and frolicking in my misfortune
there must be an ear marked page
thunderously clapping at the thought of discovery
wanting me to glide into its ravenous pulse
aching for the joy of my company
there has to be a flavor in a forgotten rainbow
for me to taste
whose presence will linger on my tongue
to become a whirling dervish
hands raised in the ecstasy
of a dance embracing the heavens
finding its own perfect truth
amongst the hideous, grinning corners of humanity
there has to be a clear blue sky
amongst the clouds that pelt me
with vindictive rain
acidic drops of abhorrence
hungering for my skin
eager to flood me into oblivion
there must be a favorable roll of the dice
after the scorn and isolation of countless attempts
the odds against me will buckle
they will tire of my endurance
and I will glow in the victorious flames
of my burning desiresThe video version of this is available in the youtube link posted below:

What a beautiful poem and the video was awesome. I read it then watched it. I congratulate you on not only writing an amazing piece, but being able to put together a visual with your voice guiding the viewer through your vision. I prefer just the read - but I'm old school & not used to so much stimulation. Thanks for the experience, much enjoyed - XXOO

Must be and probably is, in the fullness of time all things. This was a fine expression of hope and endurance, stark imagery, and much enjoyed, thanks.
