Weird Romance

By Gray Vision

Two different people,
A gap between race and age
Yet we stumbled upon,
Each other's unique stage.
A teen and adult,
Intertwined by faith,
Not by body but by mind,
Clinging to each other,
Through hard times.
As time went by
We both took a shine,
Loving each other,
Sounding so desperate at times.
As weird as it may be,
Our connection still thrives.
To this very day,
It still opens our very eyes.
The love we have,
Won't ever go away.
Even over vague conversations
Just as the ones today.
Growing ever distant,
Growing further apart.
Our hearts still beat as one
Even though,
They're slowly prying apart.
But as time goes on,
Our minds fade alike,
And our hearts harden over,
And we stopped saying good night,
We turned to arguing,
Over foolish, childish dislikes
But when it comes down to it,
We can't refuse despite?
Our dwindling love is still there,
Dormant but there,
Buried within our hardened hearts
Surviving through,
Lies and despair.
The world is against us,
It's just so unfair
But we can't let it consume us,
We can't give in so easily,
My dear,
For we've fought
To get to this point,
Tooth and nail to make it here,
But as time goes on,
Complications spawn
And with complications,
We turn and run,
Retreating to the ones who know us best,
Family, friends and love ones.
But it always comes down,
To the end of the day,
We'd say hello
And all the pain goes away.
I love you so much and I know you do too.
This love can be too much,
But we always fight through,
And it all comes down
To the end of the day,
For one of us to say "I love you so much"
And the other,
To feel the same way.

the ties we form to those closest stay around forever, wether we stay together or not.... this is heartfelt and beautiful, and she should be honored :) Scholar

All it takes is that 'hello' for the pain to go away and the feelings to resurface...prepare to carry this with you for the rest of your days.. it is powerful! Nice heartfelt post. I enjoyed it.

Adorable. It was once stated that a friend is two sould that share the same body, a soul-mate. When I think pf soul-mates, I think of love. Love has no boundary. Not age, not race. It's a language.
