This is My Profile Picture

By RubyXero

.......
A blast of you
Personality at first impression.
The jekyll and hyde.
This is how we define ourselves.
Or how we wish to be defined?...

....
This is me.
I can stare into my own eyes
held,
for hours; so close.
But when she searches
these doorways
she catches that lifeless glaze
this frozen distance
in my blank doll face.

{(Behind that smirk my dear
that mask
I see that sadness (subtle)
Agony (intensity)

...I have to look away ----

..................
I have to stop.............

(To be continued...))}

*This piece marks the end of a notebook, and we know how that can be* :D

It is sad to watch things end, and new beginnings can be frightening

That's a really cool idea. Not only can you look back and see where you've been but in many ways you can choose where you go. Second stanza hit close to home.
