I wrote about you

By Lylani

There's a note pad
That is...
Just you
Just us

From the beginning
From the ecstasy of our first kiss
To you leaving me broken
In a million tiny pieces

I wrote it all in bad clichés
and half finished sentences
Tear smeared ink
and crumpled pages

Especially for lonely nights like this
When I feel brave enough to reminisce

I feel every word of your touch on my skin
Your whisper in my ear
Your kiss on my lips

I bask in the agony of
Our bitter-sweet parting
I clamber through ramblings
Of my broken lonely heart

Somehow reading this
I feel I've moved on

But I finished writing mid sentence
Scrawled out my longings

I wrote

Simply

'I just miss you'

And I'm broken all over again

This is why I left the one I had, for her, in a place it'd be found. Maybe someone else will take solace in what I felt. Because it killed me every time.

I say this alot lately, so don't take offense. It's a compliment. It means you got to me, the way a good poet should. So, fuck you. Fuck you for writing this. And thanks.
