Blood on Heavens battlefield

By Circe Avalon

In the dieing mists of light
Were soldiers of God
and demons fight

Struggles of a withering soul
The victor announced by the bells tolls

Once for he that is of God
Twice for the unforgiven ones
Can you hear these daunting rings?
For those above or below will sing

Curse his spite or admire glory
Ambitious and courageous story

How many sins? Line them up
And cross off for good deeds wrought
Do they cancel up enough?
To send him peace or is it torture sought?

Bells of sin or bells of woe
Or we may never truly know

I agree with Sinister, this sounds like something that Lamb of God would sing. Great work, and easily my favorite type of poetry!
