actual vs professed reality
By KittyStryker
she fancies herself
a princess
cast away from luxury
brings attention
to her ruby lips
and fair skin
as if that
should insure
her privilege
and she sits pretty
waiting
for prince charming
for a fairy tale
ending
i say nothing
and let her live
in her fantasy
let her
bite the apple
follow
her script
i find
people
trapped
in glass caskets
are too busy
suffocating
to throw stones
it's better this way
i think.

to throw stones". You Know What You Are
