[beautiful.belligerence] the art of .internal. war

By Six-Out

I sat under the stars tonight- and wished upon a corpse
as I tipped my glass to hollywood.

'and there's beauty in the breakdown' she said-
with a glimmer in her eye- that screamed of broken.down.lies
and empty bottles of another lost dream
and it's easy to tell yourself that it's always for a reason
when we all live too long to go back
.and just long enough to regret.

[and I will always fucking let you down]

and the breakdown isn't so beautiful- I say
with a gastank on empty- and a road to nowhere in the distance
.and yesterday never looked so appealing.

and fate.
is my worst enemy

I imagined sitting out on the hills looking down into the town sparkling with starlets and fools gold. I felt calm like I was discussing this in a reluctant conversation of acceptance. Kinda like conflicting ideas were finally placed side by side instead of at odds.

oh god. that first line... "and wished upon a corpse" very grusome. and "I will always fucking let you down" That one really stings. thank you for writing this Jon. it was lovely. terribly sad. but lovely. ~Natelle~
