angela reaches terminal velocity
By Jonas
i am enamoured with the peace
as it rolls like a squall
over my eyes closed in dusty meditation
remembering your sundress
it was rippling very rockwell in the trite breeze
and it's been long since
the touch of my fingertips has met
the silk of your body being,
breathing and dancing in the terminal joy of existence
my tongue cannot touch the words that rest in this
but somehow i do
like a bittersweet dream
like blue
a beautiful colour
sea and sky
but it remains
truly and undeniably
blue
washing the feet of the endless
with tears of the cliche
greatest joy and sorrow
altar to the terrestrial symbols of infinite
it was the colour of your sundress
powder blue
like a sky that would look quizzically
and questioning
not understanding your conversational reference to the rain
overhead deep cumulus boiled darkly
and uttered the muttered beginings of thunder
smiling softly to myself
i remember
(trying not to wish you were here)
the sound of the rain on a tin roof
and the sight of your sundress
crumpled beautifully on the bedroom floor

There is something so natural in the way that you wrote this. It made me feel this is how we should speak always. Because your words, charged with emotion, passed through the filters of flesh and illusion directly to my soul. Where they changed who I am.
