convenient

By cre

you tell me it's convenient
the way I always fade away
that I love exquisite pain
too much to ever say
good bye
but I don't know
and what do you know,
anyway
you tell me I can't let it go
but it's hot tonight
and there are no tears, no rain
to cool my skin
and again
again
I feel the air collapsing in
just let go
let me go
cause you don't know
I don't think you know

you know it's not convenient
you point out my fallacies
don't you think I see
it's just hot tonight
and I can't find a ride on this road
this road
and you say you know
but I don't think you do
just let go
let me go
cause you don't see my sky
and you don't, you just don't know

you tell me
baby, be convenient
I know your sky is burning
but I've things to do today
pencil you in next week
okay . . .
okay

I know I fade away
I only love exquisite pain
but it's too cold tonight
and every star is searing my skin
and I'll tell you goodbye
goodbye
again
it's the only road
the only place left to go
it's just convenient, after all
you know . .
you know.

This is wonderful, beautifully heartbreaking. As I read this I imagined it as a song. "you tell me it's convenient the way I always fade away that I love exquisite pain" that was gorgeous and sorrowful. Amazing work. -L

Its sad when a relationship decays into this, or just never grew past this. Very well expressed.

I wish I could say I loved this...but I feel is how shitty it is that you had to go through this. I'm sorry Jane.

this is so so amazingly sad... there's nothing like feeling like you can be put aside until there's a moment to spare... especially when it's the one you love saying it. :(

  • A former member wrote: "cause you don't see my sky and you don't, you just don't know" It's sad that sometimes people refuse to set you free when they, in your mind, must blatantly know that's for the best. Very sad write but well written ~Urban Shipwreck~

a song spun of silver thread... cordite the smell of a shotgun shower of emotion and the lack of love and devotion when you feel you're filed under 'some time'

  • A former member wrote: wow, that was imaginative.....highly specialized. pleasently exciting. an exellent establishment...good stuff
