Wash It Down With Gin

By Intoxicating Delirium

The day you left was the day I cried.
The months of no phone calls were the days I died.

The long silent nights of nothing to think about but you.
Were the nights of wondering if you thought about me too.

The holidays that passed without seeing you face.
Were the holidays of  wondering if I was replaced.

The moments you weren't there when I needed you the most.
Were the moments  I had no one there to help me recompose.

I know you are gone forever, never coming back, yet I still wonder how it could have been.
It couldn't have been, it wasn't, stupid girl... So I'll just pop a pill and wash it down with gin.

Damn...I know this one all too well. I chose rum & powder & when there was no more, that's when pills popped up. Love works in funny fucked up ways. Nicely penned, cutie :)

Thought maybe this was going in the direction of an MIA soldier perhaps, but soon became an all too common tale with a terrific intro, much enjoyed, cheers! (gin is a fav though I hardly ever dare). OH - try a gin bloody Mary, called a red snapper at the Miami Marriott!
