When I can love again, I will love you

By Lylani

I have a hundred things to cry over
Another hundred that are breaking my heart
Because lovers are cruel
Friends unkind

You
Give me faith
That some people are good
It's enough to let me hope
See rainbows in tears

Tomorrow will be better
My heart will ache a fraction less
My smile a little brighter

I see a strength I forgot I posesed
In my reflection in your eyes

You give no cotton wool comfort
No smothering of false platitudes
But I know your eyes have cried these tears
Your heart has known this anguish
So you stand strong beside me
Your smile lights my darkness
So I can find the pieces of my heart
Some day it will be mended
My tears no longer fall
I have no rush
Only time can heal
You deserve only my best
Though
I do not expect you to wait
But know that you are preciouse
And
When I can love again I will love you

I wish I had this measure of hope. The sentiment I can understand, though. May your climb back out of the pit be swift. Scholar
