HOW DID IT FEEL?

By Musik2MyEyes

HOW DID IT FEEL?

HOW DID IT FEEL TO FIND OUT?
RELIEVED.
HOW DID IT FEEL TO HEAR IT WAS TRUE?
HURTFUL.
HOW DID IT FEEL TO DRIVE AWAY?
BOLD.
HOW DID IT FEEL TO BE RUN OFF THE ROAD?
FRIGHTENING.
HOW DID IT FEEL TO DRIVE BACK HOME?
DEFEATED.
HOW DID IT FEEL TO BE YELLED AT?
HUMILIATING.
HOW DID IT FEEL TO FALL ASLEEP?
SAFE.
HOW DID IT FEEL TO AWAKEN TO PAIN?
SHOCKING.
HOW DID IT FEEL TO SEE THE BAT COMING AT YOU?
TERRIFYING.
HOW DID IT FEEL TO WAKE UP IN HOSPITAL?
CONFUSING.
HOW DID IT FEEL TO LOOK IN THE MIRROR?
SICKENING.
HOW DID IT FEEL TO BE ALIVE?
SAD.
HOW DID IT FEEL TO HEAR HE IS FREE?
IMPRISONED.
HOW DOES IT FEEL TO SLEEP?
…WHAT IS SLEEP?

oh my god. this caused me so much pain and sorrow. nobody should have to know this. i hope that life gives you equal measures of joy and peace and that you know the full amount of your courage and grace for being able to release it in words this way.

  • A former member wrote: This is a strong piece with a story behind it. The point where one cannot tell being asleep from awake is a very scary feeling.

  • A former member wrote: i liked this. it could relate to a lot of things... yet at the same time not.

I comprehend a part of your pain through this. Why do we have to hurt? There is no reason I can fathom. Why do people choose to let themselves become bringers of destruction and grief? I think the path they chose was easy at first, downhill is always easy, but then when the direction became clear it was too steep to turn around. Then again, there is no excuse for not letting oneself fall into the pit of Hell itself rather than hurting another. * * * This, along with your bio, touched me. It makes me want to dispense justice myself. * * * No matter how much was taken from you, though, only you have the power to choose where your spirit will go from here. Keep climbing if you can. I noted in your profile you are in law enforcement. I do not envy what you must see... and the emotions taken away and carried with you in the process. I'm glad you are here. I hope you find a release in expressing yourself. And thank you for the comment. You are very kind.

I'm not sure I read your response properly..."and sometimes they get what they deserve"? No one (man or woman) deserves to have their life erased by another. I wanted to leave him when I discovered he was unfaithful...my mistake was confronting him first. My advice to others is "just leave, no confrontation is needed". If I misinterpreted what you said...my apologies. And thank you for stopping by =)
