  • "This is very vivid and very sobering. I like nothing about the imagery or what it represents but the way you write it pulls no punches and leaves its mark on my solar plexus. I'm sorry for the loss of your father."

  • "The image is immaculate and the poem was equally so. I got stuck on the line "pursed lips filled with emptiness of the meek/rendered with desiccated watercolor dreams/scenes of something once so sodden with hope/now dry and barren". Such beautifully bereft imagery. I also liked the juxtaposition of the poem itself describing death as cold and a thing of the cosmos against the author's note which is almost triumphant. Really intriguing piece."

  • "Gorgeous piece. I like the sense of hope through the hopeless, like the tiny shards of light that break through storm clouds. Nicely written!"

Jack was nimble but never quick at dancing around the fire, thunder, rain, love, hate, sex, pain and the word has up his Ire.... just an echo long remembered and hoped to be heard again. Long live the Word."

  • "the melody of regret, shadows of missed opportunity, of something that didn't quite catch but can't let go, either. Beautiful and haunting. It speaks. to me."

  • "this is my favorite of your pieces. its raw and emotional and real. a still life of a stilled life. beautiful in its tragedy."

  • "I don't always like rhymed and metered poetry, mainly because its so hard to make it truly beautiful. This was a great piece. The title was perfect and the images were crisp and vivid but in a hauntingly dreamlike melody. Beautiful write! I need to read the rest of your works!"

I was only like 7 at the time. Either way, great piece. Loved reading it."
