After the rains

By RedWolf

Looming shadows
A thief’s delight
Coldness froze
The hearts last light
A tuneless dance
Through choking chains
Love’s last chance
To lose the reins

A wish, just one
For clearer skies
Woes undone
And drier eyes
Sunshine’s ray
To cleanse the pains
Maybe someday
After the rains

Gorgeous piece. I like the sense of hope through the hopeless, like the tiny shards of light that break through storm clouds. Nicely written!
