Waging the Hunt

By RubyXero

....................................................
If I risk my diamonds form
running with desire; leaping towards your arms...
would they outstretch? to catch me
or remain idle at your sides? while I fall beside you.
Would you change direction? just to appear
oblivious to my efforts...

---and I'm falling down the spiral
into the dark abyss of
Never Had and
Never Will.

(The goddess in her full belly
birthed a son, while losing a husband.)
So have I birthed an angel...
while losing my heart...

Tutelary guides
counseling me on [patience].
yet so eager do I bounce
from set to set.

Be still my lonely heart.
...when you look
only shall you find that swift breeze.
Yet in quiet meditation
holding firm
do such rubies fall
awaitingly upon your lap.

it's strange that we can put our sadness into beautiful words. it's like a cruel trick imbedding into language. something like brilliantly colored frogs with enough poison to kill you.

Raw and written with a heavy heart. Noble in its honesty.
