An Awkward Moment

By Butterfly

Sitting in a car
Just me and a friend
Downed some pills
Eyes dialated too much

Driving to the movies
To Gahana
Missed the movie
Went next door to the coffee shop

Drink a 'jittery monkey'
Good for the night
Sit for an hour
Playing checkers and cards

Back outside
Hit the bowl once or twice
Back to driving
4 hours to kill

Back close to home
Still one hour to kill
Park the car
On the path to the hill

Sit listening
loud music playing
Smoke a cigarette
Roll down the window

He moves
To the back seat
Sits beside me
Look into each other's soul

Honds touching
Lips touching
Tongues touching
Hearts racing

Roll up the window
Removed shirt
His warm flesh
On my own

Turn away
Think
Laugh
And seperate

To many drugs
To many hormones
To close of friends
Laugh it off

Woke up
In the car
On his thigh
His hand in mine

Smile at each other
Drive back home
Goodnight kiss
Understanding between us

Love as friends
Best friends
Love always
And forever
