Clock

By maddin foxxxy

Like a song
the music enters
and breaks
the sound of silence.

I have no words
to fill in
the excuses
of the spaces
in every day.

Upon my face
I am cynic
and I smile,
so the expression
fakes.

How many times
does it take
to practice smiling
until mastering
getting real?

To breath
not the inflicted air,
but a faraway
clean wind...

How many pages
to fill in
the verses
with the same blank ink?

the sun came out
and everybody woke
into working the day.

It was the violin
by the corner
in the street that
started the melody....

Yesterday your face
came clear....
and for a moment you appeared
note by note
through the sounds of hope.

How many seas
have you crossed
for laughing
the way you do?

And how many lifetimes
did you lived
to get to live
the right one?

To not step in my time
and yet shake up the arrows of my clock....
Yesterday just was many years ago
And today....
never existed at all.

oh wow maddin, your words are always beautiful. There are so many different aspects about this work that are killer. Bit of reincarnation, happy facade, and the touch of hope that you describe.. just wonderful. You rock. :::OLd
