Nightfalls

By Gray Vision

Night is coming
And the animals are calling,
The skies are darkening
And I start trembling,
Light is fading,
And I start panicking,
With every step
The leaves start rustling,
With every step
I can hear them creeping,
And growling and howling
The fear starts seeping,
Red eyes glimmering
Couldn't help but start praying,
After some time
I could hear them retreating,
Overwhelmed and confused
Here I stayed seated,
Waiting and craving
For morning,
To awaken.

you depict an intense scene here - the power of the night and of the wild - this was really brilliant

Very vivid write my friend, this really exhibits the true power of fear. How it breaks down every mental safeguard, and opens the floodgates to a nightmare world you would've never known existed beforehand, well done. Scholar
