You say you love me,
But I see through
your façade
You wrap your arms around me
With
no regard.
For the emotions within me
Are crying
out of frustration,
For the one who loved me
Not
the currently forsaken.
We used to be happy,
But
it’s no more.
This frigid embrace, left me so sore.
Igniting
heart aches,
That I want no more.
Taken a back
to places,
That we so much adored.
I feel isolated
Like I was pushed aside.
And every time I ask why,
You never comply.
So here I am now
All
alone,
Trying to understand
Your heart of stone.
As I stand here
Within your embrace,
Listening
to your heart beat
At a steady pace.
Maybe if
I listen closely,
I can find out why
Cause there’s
a saying,
That the heart never lies.
And when
I find out
When I find out why,
Only then can
I ever truly
Sever all ties.
For all I ever wanted
Was to know the reason why,
You left me all alone,
naked,
In this world of knives.
