Water Cycle

By Lylani

Perhaps I was falling
But it felt like flying
Racing to an unknown destination
That held the secrets of
Sated desires

But the light shone too brightly
colors too vivid
Blinding my eyes
With ethereal beauty

My head spinning
With the wonder of you
I grasp the untouchable
left clawing at the light

Landing on white feathered
Wings of doves
Flapping furiously
With misplaced good intentions
Murkying love to clouds of gray

But I'm falling now
I don't doubt it
There
Is
No
Light
To draw me close
No warm embrace
Only splintering raindrops
Breaking on cold pavements
puddling in dark despair

Aww...That was special. Great write. Makes me wander though has the water been polluted or are you as pure as you sound.

No I don't think I'm remotely pure, but sometimes I wake up an optimist and a romantic. But more often I crave experience and give no thought to morals.
