Somewhere in the Distance...

By RubyXero

I wandered
forsaken of purpose
tumbling cogitation
around, from grey
to crimson.
Circling frozen concepts
that kept trailing along.
following>>>>me home.

Her ardent howl
kept me focused
at the gateway
searching the void
for those energetic emanations
through glowing truth.
Convincing freedom.
(confide)nce.

However drawing
that existence called to my spirit
grounded I kept.

Dusk to dawn
I attended this audible
refuting dance of my cull.
Enjoying its entirety
vicariously.
My core pleading
for my divestiture.
to run wild....

The mourning fire arises...
still in place
oculars fixed in position
dazed.......

A voice calls to me
from the other room.
And I peel away
tending to my responsibilities.

a little voice keeps your mind on reality whenever it starts to wonder. at least it's inspirational for your writing. i'm sure it's also much more.
