and fire became dust

By denver nitze

embers burning red hot coals
fire em.braces
it dances within
as coals die out and the soul
wears thin...

empty.ness caresses and warm
becomes c.old
while death becomes her
...and...

it severs her ...soul.

only half to go forward.
.only half to be w.hole

forever...
missing the other.

she was...
an angel to most
angel a d.evil
she sold her soul.
.
.
.
to live for awhile
to dance on her g.rave
once free to love him
now the devils slave
.
.

and the fire has died now
and its over for them
its deep in the empty
and somewhere within

.
.
...now she's a shadow...

...and her soul...

...has worn...

...thin.
.
.

.

The prograssion in this piece is fitting for you point.

  • A former member wrote: singing off the screen... I like the line, "it's deep in the empty" myself... kinda reifies (note to dp god: this should be added to the dictionary with "dialogue") all that is not, as if there were some place where dead love goes when it dies... ♥
