Below Silvering Moons
By RubyXero
Misery.
In depths defined.
I found my solace
and my hesitation there.
Limiting...
Chasing me away
with knife sharp
brushes. And gnashing teeth.
.
And I bolt away
undeniably terrified.
Without purpose.
.
So turn and face your demons.
Glaring straight into those
sinister vermilion eyes.
Stepping inside.
as my 'inner self'
emerges.
Closing in
standing up
unretreating. she gazes.
Moments pending in decision
.
.
He bows and exposes his back.
A winning smile across 'our' face
I mount him
and tear into the darkness.
Grabbing fur with
silking dress and cloak
parading in our created
high winds.
.
we dance through the night.

Seemed like the climax of a fairy tale. This feels like it needs more after the first read, but after I re-read it, and let it simmer, it left a comfortable feeling and a soothing blanket of contentment. A very pleasing read.
