like fire.
By sIo
I
dove like fire
into this marsh
gargling cattails
by gum and lip
spitting tadpoles
and picks
under bite to
undertone
lying faith
as under toe
leapt over me.
dove letters
in bottled ships
eternally to flight
I
dove like fire
into this
feathers burn faster

If you dive like that, you can't apologize for it, learn from it. Don't trade your pain for happy thoughts and don't take any wooden nickels. Nice job.

I visualized a flock of birds diving into the fire one after another. Excellent imagery!

Great piece! The imagery combined with the short, choppy structure was a fantastic effect! Ciao, T/S
