In one, single breath
you USE my child
to convince me to stay
AND to threaten your way.
That ONE single gift
that you have held me leashed with
ever since.
Keeping it short
yanking me down
with despised words.
But your power is weak and feigned.
You cannot control me
any longer!
For I have lived life
under footsteps
as a doormat.
I am smashed,
worn in and filthy.
Mostly though,
I am rage filled.
