Your burning eyes

I will never simply gaze into your eyes
it is never so peaceful
you're eyes they are blazing ebony
They scorch me
Though I cannot bare to look away
You burn away all pretense
you dare me on
knowing every desire of my soul
But you are not Mine
and I am not yours
But when your eyes burn for me
the world around me turns to ashes
and theres nothing I wouldn't do for you.
But you will leave me as you always do
Surrounded by the devastation of my burnt out soul
My heart charred beyond repair
With only the smoldering ashes of what I once held dear
Time and time again, all for the sake of your burning eyes
