  • "Ahh... muddier of waters, smudger of lines. Taunt me not in my stolid stance! :P"

  • "Just enough rhythm to make the stark avoidance of rhyme stand out and punch the point home. Arfully played."

  • "In this, you have made of us angels, because even though we read (observe), we can do nothing, cannot interfere, and the weeping can be felt down deep. FANTASTIC in the sense it draws the reader in, but perhaps you'll excuse me if I do not return."

  • "A smack in the face... yes, that's the stark harshness of the last two lines. What a unique way to attack the thought held there, in those lines. Pieces... pieces... pieces... almost there. SMACK. Well played. Very well indeed."

  • "How telling, yet still lightly veiled? Ahh the torments of choosing to write, not knowing whether it will become a balm or a blade..."

  • "beautiful set up, tease and success, closed out with an "if..." You tell of the world that lives within a momentary glance so well."

  • "what an interesting read, with so much subtly (or not, to some) hidden beneath that often skimmed top layer. How to leave and return indeed..."

  • "Even still... I could give this poem a different name, as could many I'm sure, but she wouldn't understand. This one is timeless."

  • ""even if you have to lie" ... yug. is that the way to face the world, even if telling ourselves things are right, this is what we want? will the lies of others make truth out of the lies we tell ourselves? a thought provoking bit of insight here"

  • "for some reason, I had Donnie Darko on the brain while I was reading this... or perhaps a flick produced by Rob Zombie. It's a gut-wrenching tale told from an innocent point of view, making it almost light-hearted, yet underlaced with the sense of dread that comes from knowing there's nothing the reader can do to stop the tragedy dabbled throughout. Hooked me through to the end, until I closed my eyes..."

  • "a very fitting tribute, and quite a lot of stirring thoughts here, what with death being nothing but a culmination of all the loose ends and all. Is that your own thought, in it's plath-like form, or a sentiment borrowed? I too, would like to borrow it, as it sets my mind to spinning. Well done!"

  • "there are parts here that make me cringe, and parts that make me chuckle, and the whole "close-mindedness" not being in your dictionary, followed by everything being "black and white" is a fair turn of mind bending! We may never understand you, as you state, but we sure enjoy the glimpse you've given."
