Puzzle Without A Picture

By Intoxicating Delirium

Soul ruptured, mangled
No cracks in sight

A path to nowhere
All answers ignite

Happiness evanescent
Memories decimated

Disorienting perplexity
Integrity desecrated

Impervious melancholy
A desperate resurrection

My exuberant soul
Dead with no recollection…

How do you reassemble
A puzzle without a picture?

this is a really good write I enjoyed every line brilliant.

  • A former member wrote: A thought provoking write... my answer would be to make the pieces fit, by smashing them together however I see fit... then paint the world I want over the mess that was...

A smack in the face... yes, that's the stark harshness of the last two lines. What a unique way to attack the thought held there, in those lines. Pieces... pieces... pieces... almost there. SMACK. Well played. Very well indeed.

  • A former member wrote: I love the ending lines very original, I think we all feel lost like this sometimes. This was really a write worth reading.

Sounds like the original picture was nearly destroyed. Maybe my 4 step program will work for you. 1- Close your eyes (no peeking!), 2- Memorize the current shape of each piece, 3- (seriously, no peeking now) Envision each of the pieces as you carefully fit them together, 4- Open your eyes and admire the wonderful NEW picture you have created!! Viola, puzzle solved. Glad to see ya back with us miss Caitlin! Enjoyed reading you again...

One piece at a time I'd guess, and don't lose any of the pieces! Wonderful metaphor and so good to see you back again, cheers!
