album leaf. [rhapsody]

By Six-Out

punctured. perfection
picturesque in a sense. we're pierced
placed on a pedestal of prepackaged nonsense.
sold souls drifting in a summer breeze.
please me this once.

please.

empty empathy. and erased sympathy
silly, it seemed. lost in the inseams of these incessant dreams
weak in the knees for no apparent cause.
we're all flawed.
[fallen angels that never had wings]
believe me. I'm lost.
and the cost is more than the meaning.

.
breaking. there's the point in every structure.
every inch- and tapped vein. it'll eventually rupture.
.

she spoke to me in silent symphonies. when my hands were shaking
street corners. the lights. she'd dance with me.
and tell me it's never alright.
these nights get too long.
.

and I broke the shadow dancers. killed the silhouettes
cried out in fear to the stars.
because there's no heaven left.
no words to say a prayer. and no heart to try to ease.
no hope in fairytale endings. no.
there's no reason left to believe.

and I broke my fist into five seperate points.
each one marking a time. when time meant more than nothing.

please me this once. and please.
[make me want to believe]
