The Hardest Thing I've Ever Done

By Butterfly

Loving you is the hardest thing I've ever done

You know that soon I'll leave and in my wake will lie you're broken heart

Yet you love me still like we've just begun

You know this should have never been, that one of us was bound to be left in pain

Yet we both ran headfirst into a true, pure but blind love

I realize that day after day it must hurt to know that I'm going to leave

To know that there are night's that you sit and cry for me

I sometimes thinks if things were different between you and me, that maybe if we'd met sooner,

Then maybe just maybe we'd be a lot happier

But things as they are, we've got to make the best of what we can, I'd love to call on you as a friend forever

And if this ends badly than that's how it's got to be

I'll still love you even when you're not the one here beside me

I wish that it all could've been different, but it's not and that's what hurts

If only you could see my pain, then maybe you wouldn't hurt so bad

I can't stand to see you cry, when I know the cause is me

But if I can help you ease that pain, then you can always call on me

I've been there for you always and there's no way that'll change

I wish a better life for you even if it means you're not with me

rhyme scheme is irrelevant when you are writing from the heart such as this..tis a wonderful expression of your love and pain for him.

:( It's sad and good at the same time. Life just sucks lol. I had to do that once and thankfully it came out ok. *tearz* i never really notice the non-rhymingness (< I am dumb) because of my empathy. It just flowed. Nice nice

I know that there is no rhyme scheme here, but this is just how it came to me. It's kind of an emotional write that was written in response to a letter I received from some one very special to me.
