Light of My Soul

By Butterfly

Sickening sweet hatred burning through the open darkness

Searing through the chillness of the bittersweet love

The horrid dark feeling of loneliness and rejection cuts through the light of my soul

I hide in the recesses on my mind at the thought of my soul leaving me...

Abandoning me...

The pain is sharp and quick as the razor slices flesh

The sweet warmth of crimson blood flowing over elegant hands

Slowly life drains with the body's last bit of energy

The blood hardens on the now cold skin

Dries dark brown on death paled hands

The light of my life holds my lifeless body close to his damp crying face

He howls in pain for the loss of his light

The loss of his soul
