Something to Ponder

By Daughter_Of_The_Moon

What is love?
Is there such a thing,
Or is it just a feeling,
Of needing someone there.
You Yearn fo someone to
Hold you in the middle of the night;
Someone to take away the pain,
And make life worth living.
The truth is anyone can do that.
All they have to do is,
Wrap their arms around you and
Say three words;
Words that make you believe
there is such a thing,
Even though there's not.
It's just another lie we created.
Something that would make us happy.
Love isn't real, it never was.
It's just another comfort.
Love is Dead.

    It certainly would hurt less if that were true, but it isn't. I feel the love I have inside. I know it would be logical to release it. I know that there is no hope that it will ever be returned. I know it is killing me, yet I know, I would rather die than deny it. * * * Welcome back to DP. Perhaps if you're looking to get to know the peeps that are new since you were here, you'd do me the honor of reading my work, "From Whence it Came" It goes neatly along with my thought here. yes, love is merely a human concept and invention. I think psychologists call love an abstract concept or theory, rather then a concrete one (such as a chair)..... excellent write. Thank you.
