...Analog Reflections

By SolApathy

Incantations of twisted perceptions
Imperceptibly divine in the darkness they entwine
Wrapped around the chaos of life
Nourished by the suffering of our kind
~Fatalities of the mind~
Victims of our own thoughts
Slaughtered and left to rot
This is not for which I fought
Caught in the war of diminishing returns
A reflection of a world that never learns
My curse to see
A stark reminder of what it is to be…Me
I delve into dark transformative thoughts
Often beyond any rational meaning
In this reality of what I am seeing
infinite predilection of pain
The memories bring the rain
Acidic core -- outer reflective surface
My dark-world door
A prism into my prison of infinite dimensions
Traverse with me and experience the travesty
A stark reminder of what it is to be...Me
An analog soul in a digital world
I surrender to my sins and let the universe unfurl

The line Tom pointed out hits so damn hard. It’s an eye opening write.

Sometimes there's nothing wrong with being analog in a digital world. Ask someone that lives off the grid
