...Hamstrung

By SolApathy

Is it the ham, the wich or just the sand
Making me twitch
Gotta relieve this inner itch

Passing me glances as I smoke this bowl
Fearing that I forgot to wear my tinfoil
What was in the acid of windowless dreams
That makes this sandwich seem
Destined to take a bite, it has me almost smiling in fright
What wickedness in the drugs mixed within this haze
That make it seem that this ham sandwich wants to blaze?
I fear to turn to grab my beer, I feel the damn thing inching - - near
Just for a moment I glance
Ahh…. A drink—at last
I feel a crunch as a chip I chew
Suddenly pain - - echoing through
Body and mind,  my sanity returning in quick-time
Unfathomable what I see
This fucking sandwich is eating
….Me

Haha she asked me in chat to write a poem in 10 minutes about a ham sandwich, with bonus points if it ate someone by the end.... If you read this, you need to read the story from the ham sandwiches side :) https://www.darkpoetry.org/node/work/205181

It's nice to know one person almost caught on fire, and another spilled coffee on their lap because of this poem... That is more than anyone could ever wish for!
