One of Us...

By Stranger

She begins to undress, as if it is a greeting
"Stop," I tell her, “you are already naked to me”
But her clothes fall like petals

She steps closer
“Stop,” I tell her, “you have nothing left to give”
But skin touches skin

I wrap her hair around my hands as she kneels
“Do not stop,” she tells me
But I do

“Confess, confess,” I whisper, “I will not punish you for free”

I will confess I had to read it twice to understand but now that I do I have to agree with White City Willows that the last part really ties it together in an unexpected way.Brilliant poem.
