things i'm not ashamed to admit

By SummerCoat

I’m not ashamed to admit

that when no one is around

I sometimes throw a fit.

When I can’t sleep,

I cry

and think of different ways to die.

I light cigarettes on the toaster

and I stare at my Kurt Cobain poster.

I worry about how I’m going to live

when I grow up.

Every time I fix a drink

I use a new cup.

I sit in the bathtub for hours

and after that, I always shower.

I’ve been known to blow my nose on socks.

I crumple all my writings

and keep them in a box.

My clothes are never folded

and always on the floor.

I’ve resolved the last 4 new years’

not to cut myself anymore.

I can’t use the bathroom

without closing the door.

I sleep with too many pillows

so my neck is often sore.

I could go on,

there’s more.

But unfortunately

I’m also easily bored.

I can feel the pain behind your words, but it was a joy to read

Hmm, this was fun. I don't mean that bad, there is a very mixed perspective here, a kind of sinister acceptance, and the rhyme kept me reading without pause. Well done indeed! Orion
