Stone God

i picked up a stone and started mumbling
when i'm done a young man asked "what did you do?"
his eyes focused on the stone, staring
then i handed it over and gave him a clue

"oh my dearest son, do you believe in God?"
with a thunderous voice he quickly answered
"yes! a churchgoer, but why did you ask?"
"that's good!" i said, then i left him bothered

he started following and asked me again
"but sir what would i do to this ugly stone?"
for a while i thought if he'd understand
"that could be your church when you'd feel alone"

the young man indeed was discombobulated
his eyes again focused on the stone in his hand
he couldn't construed what i have just said
"but this is just a stone you picked up from the sand"

i started to think if i must tell him my belief
that everything the five senses observe can be God
i know a lot of people to me would disagree
but everyone agrees they know good and what's bad

"young man, someday you would see from your mind
that everything on earth is a representation
it's either you do good or bad or wouldn't mind
just be responsible for all of your actions."
