Tis A Curse
By rosemaiden
Everyone desires the rose
Thinking they have nothing to lose
She craves for love but nae
For if you embrace the rose you are
pricked and gone away
Coated with thorns and painted in blood
Better to be cast in the mud
For beauty is she but alas
For what good is beauty without love's grasp
Cursed is she
amongst all flower
Forever to wallow in sorrow

Very good. A good story in a good poem.
Can you add a picture with a poem? A picture of a rose would be like whipped cream and a cherry on top.

So the greatest beauty comes with the price of pain perhaps, very interesting perspective and somewhat self-deprecating. My old uncle used to say "she was a wallflower at the dance, but a dandelion in the grass" Cheers!
