Oh Dear One

By rosemaiden

Sitting here beer in hand
Wishing he was here at last

Pen in hand on my bed
I need to get this out of my head

But I can't no matter how hard i try
To distract myself while time goes by

He's in my thoughts and in my dreams
He's even in the air I breathe

I know I'm in his heart like he said
He's in my heart too instead

Of meaningless things that I need not keep
Locked inside cause he's here.......with me

I carry him in spirit
But it still hurts

So I lay here missing him
Even though it burns
