A Slice Of Malcholm Dark

By Malcholm Dark

                    The Offenders

The burning hate within glows red
Upon the streets our blood is shed
Then the grave-side eulogies, such words are said,
"They were offenders of man...
the dead, the dead, the dead!"
....................................................

             The Icy Hand

O brotherly love, O brotherly love
In wing-ed flight doth glisten.
O purest dove, O purest dove
I beg thee to me listen.
Smell the stench of his darkened breath
And beware the icy hand of death!
....................................................

                Attainment

Yellow moon, starry skies and city lights
Feel as midnight calls and the shadow bites.
As people we strive for decency and propriety
But can we attain such things in today's society?
....................................................

        Love And Time

This love we dared or dare
Is but time we borrow.
And like the time we shared or share
It's here today and gone tomorrow!
....................................................

                Our Gods

Do our gods take haven above the misted heights
Above the moon, above the sun above the starry nights?
Is their existence truly hidden in places we cannot see
In our hearts, our souls, our minds or are they fantasy?
....................................................

                 Friendship

My new friend, be thee mine
To cherish forever through time.
Beside me in peace or in war I attack
To lose, then through forgiveness take back.
A friend in deed, this friend I need
On friendship shone, so shall we feed.
....................................................

          When I Find You

If ever I find you, my sweet...
again.
I'll never lose you, my dear...
again.
I know you are hiding here, somewhere...
come out.
I know that I must find you, somehow...
so come out!

--Yes, I'm as crazy as a loon
and I will be so happy soon...
        when I find you.

God help me, I am homicidal...
insane.
And may God help you too, girl...
again.

          when I find you...
            AND I WILL!!!
....................................................

        Doesn't Anyone Know Who

Who shall live and who shall die
Who shall prosper when governments lie?
Who shall be sacrificed and who shall we keep
Who shall we bury and who shall be left to weep?
Who shall be here when there is nothing here to cherish
Who shall care if no one is left to care after we perish?
Who was I?  But more importantly, this thought too...
Who on God's green earth were you?
....................................................

           Reality Within Society

When our dreams are taken to the outer edge of reality
Then nightmares are born.
And when our nightmares become merged with true reality
then hell hath no boundaries.
And if we are within a living hell permeated by non-reality
then death and mayhem are eminent.
And should this destruction overpower us within society
then our destroyer has awakened...
                                                   and we become nonexistent!

  • A former member wrote: I like the multitude of poems that you have here. The shortness of them the power surrounding them. Does it take you long to make them? When you write them what is your inspiration? Do you think about these things alot? The 3 questions to the passion of the pen.
