Crimson Manifestations

By Wiccad

I hear them laugh.........close to my window
Their laughter is like death to me
Death will come,  this I believe
They kill with no shame, carnal nature at play
Their eyes shine with evil doings
They smile like satan, that toothy grin
Their padded feet are quiet as they stalk their next sin
Their mouths salivate, and paws stained crimson
The blood of the innocent....... their last victim
Ripping the flesh from the bones
As their victim lies screaming, I cover my ears and moan
My ears bottle the screams
To be put on a shelf for another day
If I can't hear it.........it will go away
Their carnivores glisten white, then crimson
Seen clearly in the full moons reflection
Devouring the victims life force
Taking in their spark with no remorse
Cunning and mysterious they have become
They are a deadly match for a hunters gun
They celebrate the kill with laughter and giggles
Licking one another in the cleaning ritual
Quietly now I see them disappear
Into the trees through the cool night air
The hunters have left and I venture outside
To clean the remains and sit down and cry
