When Shadows Speak w/Moonie
By Narcissa
I am the shadow
the sun shines past my feet
on a world i cannot touch
my feet don't touch the ground
come sinking soon i'll be
past the sun where heaven can't
find me
I am the shadow
the light shines past my feet
you can't follow in the steps of
a shadow you can't see
I break apart and dissipate
against your world
like a flower pressed
upon the pages
your lack of knowledge
crushes me still in the dark
where the light cannot reach
between this books cover
I cannot touch the ground
I am the shadow
Without a companion
Laced in existance
By heart strings
But our worlds
Can not cross
It confuses the seasons
Damned like dieties
unable to conquer love
For it leaked through
faults of others
And grew to
Nourish moss upon
Concrete fountains
Decomposing love letters
of what should have been
lightening to strike twice
in this empty space where
love dry rots away to sinister
fabric of time that was never
anything more than
playback video tape against
dead flowers
I would abondon my winter cove
If my mere presence
would cloak yours
from the fits of hell
But we are too far apart
To be more than murmers
In the mist
...But Love...
Don't become lost
In my forever
Like never.

A lovely write, and a most pleasant read. The depth I adored, and the imagery, as said before, was beautiful. Well done *tips hat*

I'm the night, I'm the night, I'm the dark and the light... I love collab's... I love to try and identify the pieces parts with the authors. Murmurs in the mist... if shadows were ever to speak, I bet it would sound like murmurs in mist.... the imagery is powerful... the forlorn, the love... what distance does to love. Beautiful work, ladies.

Quite the ride you two constructed here, easy to get lost in and enjoy every moment of it. The styles blended nicely
