Between The Sheets

By Lylani

I wrote you letters when you left
Just so you'd know I was fine
I told you all the gossip
I told you nothing changes
How math still sucks
And who's dating who

Between the sheets of nothing important
Are all the things I never told you
How much I miss you
How nights last forever and I cry myself to sleep
I told you that my mind's in constant replay
of that goodbye kiss we never had

Then with breathless words
And invisible ink
I scream your name
And tell you I love you

I seal the envelope with a hopeless kiss
And post it to the land of no reply

Really liked this. Its the letters we don't send that matter, eh?

  • A former member wrote: The way the sheets are two... that upon which is written the life one never knows, and that between which life struggles on in 'his?' absence; at once Bartelby and then Heloise... purloined letters one and all...
