  • "a random poetry find. you're an asshole, sir. here i am having this decent day and i come across this poem. it is incredibly well written and expressive, so i wanted to read it (and did). but holy shit if i'm not just a tad more depressed now than i was. this was written a long time ago, so i'm sure the wounds are healed, however you've done a wonderful job of creating an image of the wounded"

  • "i'm not sure 'scattered and random' is a compliment here, but i think it was intended as such, so, thank you."

  • "a marshal and captain of words your horde laying siege to my mind as i try to interpret all the possible lines of attack that an army so arrayed could be capable of and i am set firmly on my back foot as it becomes more and more clear with each and every word that walls long in the building will fall (i will use the fallen stones to make new paths to understanding) we parley in the courtyard of yesterday with a fountain flowing spilling its water on thirsty ground, after long deliberation it seems that though hostilities will end there can be no more than the shakiest illusion of peace."

  • "is this abstract woman tied or bound in any way? it seems like in that particular situation one might be more reasonable to blame the woman for not walking away rather than blaming the bystander... the issues presented here seem to be missing key points. i wish this wasn't a computer i'm typing on, i'd like to have a debate with all of you... this will have to do. • "it's funny that the answer is: "call the police" as well. isn't that the same attitude??? if you really cared you'd go over there yourself... but we want 'the police'(translation: someone else) to take responsibility. what we're really looking at here is a total lack of community. humbug to 'calling the cops'."

  • "i think it's funny that we're all sitting here discussing whether or not one should call the cops when they hear screaming like it's a social responsibility and you'd feel guilty if something happened... what about the knowledge that people in the world die of starvation because of the profit driven system of which you are a practicing part? individuals dying to violence is sad, individuals dying to violence while bystanders look on and do nothing is more sad, masses of people dying due to the unavailability of abundant and essential resources makes me mad enough to spit."

  • "if you are alive you have not lived too long. and if you feel at all then what you feel can't be wrong. another side to wild another side to shame another side to apology and another side to blame."

  • "i both like and dislike this poem. i like it because it speaks of freedom and adventure and of creation and expression. i don't like it because it seems to put up limitations like walls declaring some things good and some things bad denying guilt and apology which are present realities... keroac is dead and was a jerk his values are under thought and lack something needed by the living... if he really had it as figured out as we give him credit for i don't think he would have died by rotting out his stomach with cheap alcohol in an attempt to escape."

  • "a sense of life slipping away as it will naturally tend to do with we little human animals always grabbing at it and insisting we are not a part of it. loneliness is that we are not the mattress. which was the dream? hi!, by the way. good to hear from you!"
