Dead God-skin

By shadowsinthelight

There are the times

I wish to be left alone

in the dark

/an isolation ‘from life’ chamber\

blank

minus this thought process

never-ending notions

Like the dog who barks every five minutes throughout the
night

FINALLY

Ahh, sweet silence

Then

*&#!!!

Damn voices never shut up

There are two, ya know

-

(FYI, a Gemini are allowed ONLY two voices, do to some
astrological law of nature)

-

Come to think of it

(There they go again)

We are never truly alone

any of us

We’re covered with minuscule life forms

crawling on us

crapping on us

fucking on us

feeding on us

always

(Are you feeling itchy, too?)

even long after the voices have gone silent

they do what they do

until there is nothing left

but dust/ash and a few gold fillings

Some of these creatures look like little Darwinized
rhinoceroses

(or is it rhinocerii?)

breeding

feeding

on detritus of my/your life

(WAIT ONE DAMN MINUTE! I thought I was at the top of the
fucking food chain!)

No matter how hard I scrub

I can’t seem to scour this life

off /out of me

Looking through the microscope at my/this infinitesimal life

I fade,

to such large proportions

I become invisible

to myself

and to the creatures

who blindly inhabit me

Do you think they worship Me

or deny my existence

Maybe that is our true relationship to God

A being so large we can’t see him

but yet

we live and breed on Him

feeding upon nutritious flakes

of

dead god-skin

(Yuck, sounds like Catholicism.)

A giant lensed eye

staring down through a cosmic sized microscope

an iris

as large and black as a universe

"My God, it's full of stars!"

[Arthur C. Clarke, 1968, 2001: A SPACE ODESSY]

Behind it

an infinite mind

wondering

contemplating

if

He should shower today

I know I will

tonight

alone

in the dark

because

I’m feeling a bit God-like

Absolutely wicked, your stream of consciousness hits head-on and comes composed with some ungodly allusions. I love encoded work.

good God (above/all around/underneath) this was fascinating and deeply philosophical... loved it. What a killer analogy... us as bugs feeding and fucking

something that i initially misconstrued, but what i want you to now consider is: what if God is like the bugs; so tiny that It is too small to see yet all around us and feeding off of us also?

i don't know if that train of thought quite works out, but... i've always had this strange idea that God "fits into" all the in-between spaces in the universe.

That makes sense, because even solid matter is mainly made up of "space" in between the electrons. So that would put God everywhere and in everything. S.

The movie A Scanner Darkly jumps from your imagery paired with Leibniz infinitesimals. Still enjoying this piece.

Grinning all the way through this piece of excellence. Demented and completely rational at the same time. Loved it! The conclusion is marvellous.
