Cross-Heart Promises & Forever

By BeautifulCalamity

I cross my fingers behind your neck
as I mumble promises at the touch of your lips..
Your red lips
[promises.will.never.be]

forever is so beautiful

and perfection, if you know it..
is waking up in the perfect sight
the fixation
of their gaze
. . .
We'd follow our hearts into a matchbox
and watch them break with the flicker of light
. . .
We'd travel on beams of moon dust,
allowing the light to bandage our wounds..
Tripping on sunlight
. . .
and here find ourselves regaining balance
as we crawl out of tomorrow...

.this is what you do to me.

the burning touch of wanting you travels
like clouds of poison rushing to greet me..
so full of life, so full of excitement
and you know it is yours to take away..
Sometimes I get caught up in the moment
and the moment dances away feverishly
..falling out of loose grip..
to sleep on the earth, sleep with the dirt

[In tune with the beginning of a thought]

and if the ocean has stairs we've met them,
dragging our colors to throw into the waves..
hoping that some will be caught and taken away.
while here it is decided that I will be yours again
as I sketched your pretty face..

my eyes are asking you to touch me
this moment. .knows me well like this moment.

place your breath into me with the gentle rhythm
of your slow-breathing machine
.let it pulse.
and push me further while I am still floating
on all that is artificial
..chemical..
Do you know me?

define/divine

"You're anything" . said everything.

moving, moving
to define

you move me calm like perfectly decorated wings
fake.fake.fake.
they'll hold on forever, hold on together

and diamonds couldnt compare to your fine eyes..
cause they burn and cut like I never knew perfect
rhyme.. .

a glance at beauty, leaves me stunned
crying tears of silver glitter that stumble
on the colored drawings in my eyes...
never fall completely
.release me.
tonight, moonshine
neon lights.. spell time
destruction of the purest kind
golden scent, waxy tongued
.here.
here we are. . .tie me numb
here we are
[forever is so beautiful]
but you could never love me

. . . . .. ..
scatter
... . . . . .

you could never
love
me

"oh stranger, I could"

  • A former member wrote: Wow.. just.. wow. It's beautiful. It's raw, but that's what's pretty about it.. like painting a picture with words. an abstract, beautiful picture. the colors are perfect, for the words, too. since words -are- color. Love it.

love stumbles through questions of perfection and forever while the mind refuses such silly notions but cannot resist the ride like a child who's parents never told her not to accept candy from strangers...
