Carnage Of The Strings
By Zhee
(this is another one from my early teens)
My spirit flowed like a river
Through the strings of my guitar,
A wild cry that broke
Through every single bar.
A divine madness
A spiritual high,
Where I was - lost and found,
I was both - earth and sky.
I tried to tame my guitar,
They made my will go blind,
I tried to cage its voice
As I tried to sell their mind.
They pulled all my strings,
My hands moved in chains,
My soul cried and bled,
My guitar was in pain.
It sang to my soul
And heard a withering sigh ,
Since it was no longer free
My guitar wanted to die.
It choked on its voice,
My spirit slowly died,
My guitar was numb,
My fingers were tied .
I destroyed what I created,
I’ll never know why,
I just killed my guitar -
And left it there to die....

I'll dot this as a favorite poem out of all your poems. ~Shane~

Damn Zhee! This was, may I say, wicked? With this poem, your use of an everyday object makes this anthropomorphic. I wonder now, did you ever believe that your guitar was ever (ahem) more alive than you already are? :) ~Shane~
