...Poetic...Shards

Shards of glass
Beauty of infinite prisms
Darkness in the sharp reality of cynical precision
Random to the eyes-- untrained
These shards are beacons of life’s flame
I burn with desire as these shards they shine
Invoking memories of a time when I was tame
Looking to see a shard of memory before me
I grasp this moment of fierce clarity
Driven I clutch to never let go
Piercing my skin as the memories they flow
Anger or ardor these prisms grant me something more
A glance into the past I once knew – Yet is no more
I grab them all and bleed out upon the floor

Now I, finally, know what that "write something inspired by this" button is for :) I don't know if I've ever commented on your work. If I haven' done sot, it's, probably, because your work makes me feel too tiny to comment. Surely I've read some of your work. I just couldn't bring myself to comment. Thank you for this marvelous poem, milady! *bows and exits the stage with the rest of the puppets controlled by Deam Soul Apathy* :)

I always loved that song. I think I liked Jose Gonzalez' original version better, but this one is definitely great as well. Didn't they do one that was more electronic as well? Don't let the blood engulf you. You can rise above it, if you want to. If you want to find the better way it will always be there.

There's much to be gained here, I found comfort in my darkened world and find that that's where I'm most creative. --Inspiring piece Scholar

Amazing approach to subject matter here Sol; via an unusual and unique observation of the commonplace. We can find darkness in rainbows if we want to, maybe. Cheers! - Dan
