...Savage the Mind

By SolApathy

Savage winds in my mind
…Tired—Can’t seem to find
Strands of the words that once could bind
Catastrophic reality--my chaos exposed
As the world around--- explodes
Tearing you away from within - - You left me alone
…Again…
I slip into your grave a freeze-dried rose
Dreaming if only it could be me
Next to your side for all eternity
 --I scream –
-Shatter the walls of a reality I didn’t choose-
Hurricane of my thoughts – betrayed
Breaking beyond the fabric of life that took you
Breaking the world - - My hurricane thoughts of two
Savage the world as retribution for stealing
…You

I wish I could've mustered words so eloquently to capture my own pain, but thankfully you did it for me. This screams of a girl I was after being left... Not so long ago but far enough now not to ever look back... :)
