The Burning - Army of the Dead

By dwells

The honored dead
In Battle’s bed
Observe your desecration

The flag they bore
Forevermore
Their final occupation

Though mothers cried
And brothers died
For your emancipation

Their sacrifice
The highest price
In restless habitation

With wounds of war
Still raw and sore
Observing your elation

Disgraceful act
You bring them back
For your annihilation

I'm lost, where is Bruce Campbell in this? I think he's the one who would protest. If you think about it he's a pretty good representation of being drafted in the something unfairly. And his chainsaw arm? The righteous hope & will to fight the oppression of the government through sacrifice!!!

Thanks all for your valued comments. Unfortunately war is as old as civilization itself. Somebody always wants what the other guy has; one way or the other. Cheers! - Dan
